PassLogic

A good password idea is never the first one that comes to mind. In other words, it is not advisable to use your name, birth date, or any other personal information as a password. In order to make your password more secure, it is also a bad idea to set a random word because anyone with a dictionary can crack it. PassLogic can automatically generate a password according to a series of parameters which you can set.

PassLogic is freeware and you can download it quickly due to the small size of the package (1.36 Mb). Installing it is also a swift process. Apart from setting a destination folder and selecting what shortcuts should be placed, the wizard will not ask you for anything else.

PassLogic's interface makes password generating a straightforward process. You will find two navigation tabs on the main window. A typical password can be created under the tab with the same name. Here you can set the length of the password, opt for upper or lower case characters, digits, and special symbols. A preview of the password will be displayed on the lower part of the window and it will change in real time as you make your settings. You can copy and paste the password from the preview or click the Generate button for a new one. This can be automatically copied to the clipboard by clicking on a check box before creating a new password.

Under the Friendly Password tab, you can create a password a bit faster. You can only choose one of the options listed here. These include different styles of character cases like upper, lower, mixed, random, and more. It is also possible to create more than one password. Clicking the More button under the Generate one will extend the main window, revealing a counter which you can use to create any number of passwords.
